Nathan Sayings
Dec-17-2006 (Speaking spanish, I ask Nathan what the spanish word for a color is). Steven: "The spanish word for white is blanco, like your white blanket." Steven: "The spanish word for black is negro." Nathan: "Like a black blanket?" Also: Discussing why it was bad that Nathan picked up a piece of candy off the Best Buy floor and started to put it in his mouth. I told him germs were on food and candy that was dropped on the floor. Steven: "Its only safe within the 10 second rule. Can you count to 10?" Nathan: "1,2,3,6,7,8,9,10" Steven: "Have you ever stepping in something gross?" Nathan: "Yes" Steven: "And your shoes walk on the floor, so would that gross stuff get on the floor?" Nathan: "Yes" Steven: "And if you dropped food on the floor, could that gross stuff get on the food?" Nathan: "Yes" Steven: "See germs look for the food, and it takes them about 10 seconds to find it...once they see it, they hop on. And germs are bad for Nathan." Nathan: "So, I'll just yell at the germs really loud, and scare them off the food. Then I can eat it?" TBD: Nathan picks up a dried worm: Laura: "It's dead, put it down." Nathan: "It needs batteries?" May 5, 2006: Laura: "If you're in trouble or need help, you can call the firemen and they'll bring their firetruck to your house and help you." Nathan: "They'll help Nathan?" Laura: "Yes, if you need help." Nathan: (thinks for a second) "They'll come help Nathan water his flowers?" TBD: Nathan and his cousin Rachel: Rachel lifts up her shirt. Nathan: "You have little boobies." Nathan lifts up his shirt. Nathan: "I have little boobies too." Rachel: "I have little boobies now, but I'll have BIG boobies like my Mommy someday."
